After a bumpy first closed beta for "Street Fighter V", Capcom has announced that a second closed beta will be available for players very soon.

According to Capcom Unity, the closed beta will be available for play starting on October 22 and will run until October 25. While the closed beta may only be four days, head game developer for Capcom Peter "Combofiend " Rosas says that this closed beta will have cross-platform capability for the first time ever.

Eurogamer reports that this cross-platform capability will be between PC and PlayStation 4, and will be available starting Oct. 24. PC gamers will also start having access to "Street Fighter V" starting Oct. 24. This is very big news as the game was originally slated to be a PS4 exclusive, and with the news of PC compatibility, it gives Xbox One users a glimmer of hope that they may see a version for their console.

The second closed beta will also include new characters that have been revealed and available in certain builds of the game not yet released to the public. These characters include Ken, Nacalli, Vega and Rainbow Mika, while newer characters like Rashid and Karin will be available on October 23 and October 24, respectively. With regards to the last two characters revealed, namely, Zangief and Laura, no news has been made on when they will be available to play.

One of the biggest problems with the first closed beta of "Street Fighter V" was actually getting online and playing against other players. Capcom stated that this was due to the number of players trying to get, which was more than expected. The video game developer assured fans that this problem has been addressed and there should be no problem getting online during the second closed beta.

Capcom has also implemented several other functions to improve online play of the game. Rosas has confirmed that there will be a ranked matched feature, as well as a player search feature, for easier access to players who are online.

"Street Fighter V" will also include in-game currency called Fight Money. Players will steadily earn this currency the more that they play. Gamers will be able to use Fight Money to purchase unlockables, such as costumes and skins for their favorite fighters. However, Capcom has announced that anything purchased during this closed beta will not carry over to the next beta or to the final game, so players should spend this currency at their own risk.

Players who have not yet signed up for the closed beta can enroll on the PlayStation website. Those who are selected to join will receive an email and beta key with instructions on how to join the beta.
