Xbox Live Gold Members will have four more games to enjoy this October. The best part is, they are all free.
In an update by gaming blog site Major Nelson, as part of Games with Gold Program, Xbox Live Gold members will have four free games, two each for Xbox One and Xbox 360. The said games include "Valiant Hearts: The Great War," 'Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes," and two "The Walking Dead: The Complete First Season."
For Xbox One, "Valiant Hearts: The Great War," which has an Estimated Retail Price (ERP) of $14.99, will be free to download all throughout the month of October.
The World War 1-inspired video game follows various characters that were torn with the "horrors of war." These characters are drawn together as the game progress, trying to survive and retain their humanity.
Another game for Xbox One that will be free to download is "The Walking Dead: The Complete First Season." With an ERP of $24.99, the game can be downloaded for free from October 16 to November 15, 2015.
"The Walking Dead" game was based on the comic and TV series of the same title. The game revolves around the characters Lee Everett, a convicted murderer and a young girl named Clementine as they try to survive the zombie apocalypse. However, the game does not focus on killing zombies but on making "tough decisions" when faced with the zombies.
Meanwhile, for Xbox 360, "Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes" ($19.99 ERP) will be made available for download from October 1 to October 15, 2015.
The game, which was released last year, served as a prologue for the recently released and highly regarded "metal Gear Soild V: Phantom Pain."
Xbox Live Gold members who own Xbox 360 will also be able to download and play "The Walking Dead" game on their consoles.
Nonetheless, according to Game Rant, although the upcoming free games for Xbox One are pretty decent, the games for Xbox 360 are nevertheless, the opposite. The site mentioned that "Ground Zeroes" has already been a free game last August while the release of "The Walking Dead" for Xbox 360 is redundant for those who own both the console.
Game Rant also cited that as compared with the games released this September which features "Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition" on Xbox One and "Crysis 3" on Xbox 360, the upcoming October release is somehow disappointing.
The September games available for Xbox Live Gold members to download will expire as the October free games are released.
