More and more details are being revealed about the upcoming "Assassin's Creed Syndicate" as it nears its official release date. Now, the game's senior producer François Pelland provided some information regarding the upcoming game's 19th century Victorian London storyline.

Talking to Games Radar, Pelland explained the nature of the first dual protagonist -- Jacob and Evie -- of the franchise, which he cited as their way to tell a "modern story in a modern era."

"Jacob is an extremely charismatic, very confident personality. He's a leader. On the other side, you have Evie who tends to be more cautious, she's more on the strategic side, she has stealth-specific skills that are specific to her," he told the outlet.

Pellan noted that the difference of the characters' personalities makes them standout, adding that making two main characters is more of a "creative direction" for the series, which saw a slump during the release of "Assassin's Creed Unity."

On the other hand, he also highlighted how they integrated the River Thames on the gameplay and story, despite being seemingly a "disruptive geographical feature."

Pelland pointed that they treat Thames as its own area, giving consideration to its "purpose" as a key port with boats shipping in and out during that period.

He also mentioned that this modern setting has brought changes in its combat approach, specially that the use of swords is not prevalent on the game's setting.

"We've moved into anage where if there was any kind of brawl on the streets, it was making the headlines. So that's certainly very different from what we saw only 75 years before this period, with the French Revolution. So we wanted to give the combat a more brutal and visceral feel to it, hence the emphasis on concealed weapons. To that end, one of the changes we've made to combat is that we're bringing back the multikill multi-finisher from Assassin's Creed III," the producer furthered.

Moreover, Pelland confirmed that players can jump or climb on top of trains, and can use the mode to travel quickly or even free roam and explore the whole city.

"Assassin's Creed Syndicate," as previously reported by Game Rant, will also be featuring a new tool called "Rope Launcher," which will revolutionize traversing in the game.

The game will launch for the Xbox One and PS4 on October 23, 2015. However, the PC version is delayed for roughly a month, arriving on November 19, 2015.
