As can be remembered, fans were disappointed with the ending of "Mass Effect 3." Nevertheless, fans eagerly awaited the game's release - despite the fact that the third installment's release was moved from 2011 to March 2012. Games such as the "Mass Effect" franchise are huge and difficult to make. Fans have learned to be skeptical, although Bioware already announced that "Mass Effect: Andromeda," along with a trailer, will have a 2016 release date.
According to PC GamesN, the said 2016 release date should be taken with a grain of salt. Chris Wynn, Senior Development Director for Mass Effect, said on his Twitter account that it's all part of the plan. This would mean that fans should expect some delay on the release of "Mass Effect: Andromeda." Further tweets from the director revealed that there might be new races because it's a new galaxy.
Speaking of a new galaxy, "Mass Effect: Andromeda" is rumored to feature the Helios Cluster, which, according to PC GamesN, is really huge. A few more details were given by Chris Wynn on what would seem to be an interview via twitter. One such information mentioned that familiar faces from the original trilogy will not make any appearances on this new game since it would not make any sense gamewise. When asked about minor characters, Chris Wynn seemed hesitant with his answer.
Further on his twitter account, Wynn divulged that the combat system for "Mass Effect: Andromeda" will still feel the same as the original series, but with some improvements. He also mentioned that the co-operative multiplayer aspects of Mass Effect will return on the fourth installment.
Continued from PC GamesN, the fourth installment will be a totally new story. This game will no longer be about Commander Shepard, but will revolve around the character known only as the "Pathfinder."
As far as authentic information goes, most of it was revealed during the last E3 2015. Should readers dig deeper, the rumor mill will be glad to supply such data. According to an alleged survey about the game on Reddit, the "Pathfinder" will lead a task force in search for humanity's new home. This would mean that the game will have heavy emphasis on exploration. Further on, the survey suggests that players have the option to create colonies on newly discovered planets.
Just like in the previous game, the main character will have his/her own ship - the Tempest. This is manned by seven people, each with loyalty missions similar to previous Mass Effect games. Players are also rumored to have the option to send mercenaries on Strike Missions, much like Dragon Age: Inquisition's War Table. The last rumor stated that the main character will now have the option to interrupt the people involved in the conversation.
These rumors are to be taken with a grain of salt, yet they are too good to let pass. "Mass Effect: Andromeda" will be released on 2016, hopefully with little or no delay.
