When game developers revealed that "Big Hero 6" will be part of the worlds in the upcoming "Kingdom Hearts III," the collective minds of fans in attendance during the last D23 Expo in Anaheim, California, were sent into overdrive.

Fans who are hoping that the RPG series will soon have the Marvel Universe as part of Sora's intertwining world may have something to look forward to with the inclusion of "Big Hero 6." Even before that, rumors have stated that there will be new worlds for Sora and the gang to explore. One such world speculated was Disney's "Frozen." While Tangled, featuring Rapunzel, has been confirmed when the E3 trailer of the game was released, fans wonder what will happen to the old worlds featured in previous "Kingdom Hearts" games?

According to an interview with "Kingdom Hearts III" director Tetsuya Nomura on Ruliweb, worlds from the previous "Kingdom Hearts" games will not appear in the third installment. News writers had to translate and rummage through dozens of information from Ruliweb, which is written in Korean. Luckily, KH13 spared some time to translate the Korean report and had come across some intriguing details about what Nomura-san really wanted to divulge.

The translated report from Nomura-san himself stated that "any map used in the first two [numbered] Kingdom Hearts games will not appear in 'Kingdom Hearts III.'" This information, is rather contradictory to what the E3 trailer has revealed. Fans saw the world of Hercules, but with Mount Olympus with a twist.

The new information could be interpreted in numerous ways. According to Design N Trend, this could mean that the previous worlds, specifically Disney worlds, will still appear---but on a different location to give the fans a fresh look of the place.

On the topic of worlds to be removed, there are a few that need to be erased, according to Movie Pilot. One such map that has never really been all too popular with players is Wonderland. There have been so many iterations of the map that it has become dull and tiresome. Another map that seems to be rather unpopular is that of Atlantis. The underwater stage really hindered gamers and designers on what they could do with the underwater feature the map had to be constricted to. Further on, the report suggested that The Grid from "Tron" was a hit and miss.

With still no tentative release date, "Kingdom Hearts III" remains a dangling enticement for fans of the franchise. The agonizing wait could still drag on for many months (hopefully, not years) to come.

On the bright side, the D23 Expo in Japan on November 3 will reveal more about "Kingdom Hearts 3." Stay posted as more information is yet to come!
