Yes! It was the Twilight reunion fans have been waiting for. Sort of! Kristen Stewart was joined by her former co-star, Taylor Lautner, at the premiere of her new film American Ultra last night in Los Angeles.
The 25-year old actress brought along her old-pal Taylor as her date. The two seemed quite happy to appear together on the red carpet - flashing wide smiles at each other and the cameras. Both actors looked rather stunning. Kristen wore a black sequin Zuhair Murad jumpsuit marked by dashes of red, yellow, and pink sequins. She paired the plunging neckline with thick black eyeliner and black pointed pumps. Lautner donned a simple V-neck t-shirt, with a dark navy blazer, and jeans.
Kristen and Taylor both starred in all five of the "Twilight" movie franchise. According to US Magazine, this is the first time the pair have appeared on a red-carpet together sine the premiere of Breaking Dawn - Part 2 in 2012. Nonetheless, three years later and the couple look to be as close as they did then.
In an interview with Uproxx, Kristen said she would be up to filming a "Twilight" reboot.
"I was so genuinely, heavily entrenched in that, and not in a way that felt like an obligation. Even though after the first one, which stood alone, it lasted a long time. It's hard to speak to a five-year period in a few sentences, but I loved doing it," said the "Clouds of Sils Maria" actress. "But that doesn't mean I want to keep doing it. But if other people? Yeah, sure. To be honest with you: I would be interested. I'd be kind of fascinated, but it wouldn't emotionally affect me one way or the other."
Hmm, judging the by the close-relationship of the former co-stars on the red carpet and the box-office smashing success of the vampire-werewolf romance saga, it may be safe to say that Taylor Lautner would be up for a sixth installment as well? And what about Robert Pattinson? Maybe. Kristen and Robert were on-and-of screen lovers. However, both have moved on since their public split in 2013. Her 30-year old ex is now engaged to the eclectic "Two Weeks" crooner, FKA twigs, while Kristen has been spotted out-and-about with visual effects producer, Alicia Cargile.
Regardless, a "Twilight" reboot with Stewart, Lautner, and Kristen would surely be something to see!
