"Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" is slated for release on a still undefined date in 2016, but recent rumors surfaced claiming that the game will be available in March.
A Reddit user recently received an email from Amazon Germany stating that the Nathan Drake action-adventure game will be released on March 9, 2016. The said user even provided a proof of the message that contains "09 März 2016" to support his story.
As reported by Game Rant, the said rumor is easy to disclaim if not for the date which is too specific and not typical for a placeholder date. Moreover, if combined with the announcement of Sony President Andrew House that the game will be released in the first half of 2016, specifically before April, the March 9 claim might not be far from the truth. There is also the possibility that rumor might be the release in Germany while the game's availability might be sooner or later for other regions.
The report also cited that there was a point that "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" was scheduled for release in late 2015 but like other big games, it was delayed to 2016 because of what was said to be "ambitious" goals that the developers envision for the game.
With the "PlayStation Experience" scheduled in San Francisco in Dec. 5 and 6 this year, Game Rant explained that that might be the perfect time for Naught Dog to announce the official release date of the highly regarded third-person shooter platform video game. The event is the logical and suitable choice as it has the needed hype for a game's announcement, not to mention that it will also give them at least three months for extensive marketing.
The game, according to Game Spot, was set three years after the events of "Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception" where Nathan Drake was already a retired fortune hunter and has been living a normal life with his wife Elena Fisher. However, Nathan returned into action after his older brother Sam, long thought to be dead, appeared seeking his help. He then began his journey in pursuit of a conspiracy behind a long lost pirate colony and its fabled pirate treasure.
Fans have already seen several trailers of the game since the E3 2015 that shows the main campaign as well as the E3 extended demo. Several reports have also surfaced regarding the games beautifully choreographed action sequence, wit and humor, as well as ambitious seamless, real-time cutscenes with 'the most realistic character models' that makes the game even more worth waiting.
Regardless of the game's release date, it is still set to be available for PS4 in 2016 and an official announcement might just be around the corner. However, before the game's release, fans and gamers can take part and enjoy in the multiplayer beta that will be available for "Uncharted: the Nathan Drake Collection" that is set for release this October.
