How exciting, fans will soon have Nicki Minaj at their fingertips! The first lady of YMCMB is getting her own mobile video game, Glu Mobile Inc. announced earlier this week.
The music and style icon appeared to be well sought after by the gaming company.
"I am thrilled to welcome the undisputed queen of hip-hop, Nicki Minaj, to Glu's growing list of celebrity partners," Glu Chairman and CEO Niccolo de Masi said.
De Masi further gushed over the "Anaconda" hitmaker's influence and outreach. "Nicki brings to Glu her audience of over 100 million* social followers and a new music category," he said. "We look forward to combining Nicki's distinctive style and massive global appeal with Glu's celebrity social gaming expertise."
Minaj's influence is based on her incredible social media stats cited by the company, including 42.3 million on Facebook, 20 million on Twitter, 30.4 million on Instagram, 9.1 million on Vevo and 163.4 thousand followers on Vine.
The leading developer of free-to-play games is also responsible for the creation of "Kim Kardashian: Hollywood." The "Keeping Up With The Kardashian" star's version takes players on a "red carpet adventure," as described by the application.
Gamers are able to "create [their] own star, customize [their] looks with hundreds of style options, including Kim Kardashian's personal picks." The game takes steps to fully immerse the player in the world of the reality star with interactive adventures that include "encounter[s] with other celebs, dedicated fans, [and] persistent paparazzi."
HollywoodLife.com now speculates the two applications will be in direct competition of one another. However, aside from their rather flattering assets, the "Truffle Butter" rapper's version could lean more towards her musical background.
The degree of the Minaj experience is yet to be described, however Glu is sure to make customers aware of the unique features they will encounter: "The exclusive agreement covers Minaj's name, likeness, voice, and creative direction to develop a one-of-a-kind digital experience for players."
Nice! Can fans possibly expect to perform on stage, hang out with Meek Mill, or just "Beez" in the trap?
Glu Mobile Inc. is expected to officially launch the Nicki Minaj mobile game app worldwide in the summer of 2016.
