Nicki Minaj has been having a rough couple of days, following the biggest rap feud since the Jay Z vs. Nas beef. She is reportedly stuck in the middle between current boyfriend Meek Mill and rumored ex-flame Drake.
The Trinidadian emcee has yet to publicly defend her beau after his Drake diss fell embarrassingly flat. The couple is rumored to have split.
A source admitted to HollywoodLife.com that Minaj is trying her best to stay out of the situation for the better of both men: "Nicki wants to continue being Drake's friend but as far as this feud, she doesn't want to be part of it and she hates being tangled all up in it."
The source also revealed that the "Anaconda" hitmaker had a close relationship with her fellow YMCMB member, even sharing a number of chart-topping collaborations, like "Moment for Life" and "Only" -- which is something the Philly rapper cannot take away. Minaj is supposedly hoping the two men can learn to respect one another and be a part of her life.
"Drake is like a brother. For real," the source claimed. "She respects him as a person and as an artist and no one can take the fact away that he's a heavy hitter in the music biz. Not even her man Meek, and she wants him to know that too."
"There's enough power, respect and money to go around and she wants Drake and Meek to realize that so they can each have some of the pie," the source added.
Meek is not taking the lack of support from his girlfriend lightly, as he reportedly pushed food out of her hand backstage before performing as one of her opening acts during the "Pinkprint" tour in Detroit.
The publication exclusively learned the "House Party" rapper was upset Minaj has not shown him any love and threatened not to perform.
"He's been real salty to her before their show in Detroit," another source said. "She was trying to be all nice and feed him his favorite food, but Meek wasn't having it and pushed it out of his face and out of her hand."
Yikes! Hopefully, all three rappers will be able to repair their relationship for Nicki and the music's sake.
