'GTA 6' Set Around Entire US? Release Date, Gameplay, Trailer & Rumors Here!

With the success of "Grand Theft Auto 5" two years ago, rumormongers are hard at work trying to find out what Rockstar Games is up to. Fans are hoping that the development of "Grand Theft Auto 6" will not take a long time to be released.

As fans would remember, the GTA series revolves around a character involved in some questionable activities. Gamers would take control of the protagonist, who is part of a criminal organization, running around in this open-world game, committing crimes and the occasional interactions with the "ladies of the night."

Rumors dictated that Rockstar is working on a different angle for "Grand Theft Auto 6." According to Breathe cast, the game developers intend to add a good guy playable character for the next instalment of the Grand Theft Auto franchise. Instead of just having a main character that runs around, hitting others with cars, robbing people and being a ruthless criminal in general, gamers can now play as police officers and arrest law breakers.

Other media outlets reported that the six-star wanted status will return, according to Ecumenical News. Fans would remember that the six-star wanted status was removed from "Grand Theft Auto 4" and "Grand Theft Auto 5".

Fans would remember from "GTA III" that once six-star wanted level is achieved, the character will be pursued by the National Guard instead of the FBI. The pursuers will be armed with M16 assault rifles, tanks and helicopters. Gamers enjoyed this feature but was disappointed when it was removed from the fourth and fifth instalments of the Grand Theft Auto series.

Furthermore, rumors suggested that the entire United States of America will be used as the map of "Grand Theft Auto 6." According to Movie Pilot, Rockstar Games is set on making the US as the setting for the new game. The report said that the Grand theft Auto series will not work outside of the American borders. In addition, the report commented that using the country as the entire game setting might be too big of a challenge for the hardworking men and women of Rockstar Games.

The Grand Theft Auto series has had male characters for leads. Rumor has it that there is a possibility of a female lead for "Grand Theft Auto VI." According to Day Herald, if Rockstar Games pushes through with a female lead character, Eva Mendes could portray (or voice) the role. Continuing with the star-studded hearsay, the reports also mentioned the potential involvement of Ryan Gosling. It said that Rockstar Games will try to connect "Grand Theft Auto VI" with another successful franchise, Red Dead Redemption, by having Gosling portray RDR's main character, John Marstan's descendent.

Gamers and fans are advised to save up as "Grand Theft Auto VI" is expected for a 2018 release on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
