'Rock Band 4' To Be Released On PC? Release Date, Song List, Gameplay & Rumors Here

Good news for "Rock Band" fans as new details about "Rock Band 4" have been unveiled and it seems that new songs for the game have been revealed by Harmonix.

Citing VG24/7, Sherylyn Toda of the Franchise Herald reported that Harmonix has added a couple of new songs to the "Rock Band 4" track list.

As was noted on the report, these are the songs that have been added to game:

Aerosmith - Toys in the Attic

The Cure - Friday I'm In Love

Dream Theater - Metropolis - Part 1 The Miracle And The Sleeper

Foo Fighters - The Feast and the Famine

Judas Priest - Halls Of Valhalla

Live - All Over You

The Outfield - Your Love

Ozzy Osbourne - Miracle Man

Paramore - Still Into You

St. Vincent - Birth In Reverse

Van Morrison - Brown Eyed Girl

Fans of the franchise can visit the official "Rock Band 4" website to see all of the songs that have been unveiled so far.

Meanwhile, in an interview with IGN, Ali Thresher of Harmonix confirmed that a new gameplay feature would be added in "Rock Band 4."

As revealed by Thresher, a campaign mode is going to be added in "Rock Band 4."

Thresher says that players can now tour around the world playing their choice of songs and that players can now choose a path for their band.

While this is the first "Rock Band" game for the next-gen consoles, PC gamers will be saddened to know that "Rock Band 4" will not be released for the PC.

In an interview with GameSpot, Daniel Sussman of Harmonix stated that there would not be a PC release for "Rock Band 4" due to a number of issues.

"The library is not there on PC.The library is there on Xbox and PlayStation. So, for players who want it on PC, really you're looking at a new audience that hasn't played before, and I don't know to what degree there is an audience for new players who have never played Rock Band before on the PC. That's one piece of it," said Sussman.

Harmonix also realized the real possibility of copyright and piracy issues that the game would face if "Rock Band 4" was released on PC.

"The other piece is all the security issues, to be perfectly frank. There's something comforting about the closed network that comes along with the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. That's important to our partners in the music industry. Not to say that's an unsolvable problem," notes Sussman.
