New details about "Deus Ex: Mankind Divided" has been unveiled as Square Enix releases a statement about whether the game should have multiplayer or not.
According to David Wharton of Gamerant, "Deus Ex" gameplay Director Michale Fortier admitted to the Official Xbox Magazine "Deus Ex: Mankind Divided" having a multiplayer mode is something unique due to the fact previous "Deus Ex" games did not have multiplayer.
However, Gaming Bolt reports that Fortier said that "Deus Ex: Mankind Divided" cannot have a multiplayer mode as he notes that it must make sense from a narrative standpoint that the game should have multiplayer and at this stage in the game, it doesn't.
We Got This Covered has reported that should the game have a multiplayer option, Eidos Montreal will have to work on the multiplayer feature in "Deus Ex: Mankind Divided" and it will look to other games like "Mass Effect," "Dragon Age Inquisition" and "Assassin's Creed: Unity" as possible examples as to how to execute the multiplayer mode.
Square Enix showed "Deus Ex: Mankind Divided" during their E3 2015 presentation. "Deus Ex: Mankind Divided" will have new a storyline that is set a few years after "Human Revolution". Adam Jensen is back as a double agent working for an anti-terrorist group that stops rogue "Augs" from committing acts of terrorism, and the Illuminati who has been feeding information to other interested groups.
Just like the previous game, players can go lethal, non-lethal or pacifist as "Deus Ex: Mankind Divided" will feature weapons and equipment such as EMP bullets, a Tesla EMP device which can take out multiple enemies at the same time and Nano Blades. Players can also use other ammo like live bullets, explosives, armor piercing rounds and more.
It has also been confirmed Adam Jensen will also have new abilities such as the Icarus Dash. There would also be some new gadgets in "Deus Ex: Mankind Divided" as Adam Jensen can use a remote hacking device on his arm to unlock certain areas and hidden items. There is also the Titan shield which grants him limited invincibility.
Meanwhile, Lazygamer reported that the executive art director for the game, Jonathan Jacques-Belletete, wanted the plot of the game to have a shocking effect on the players after the incidents that occurred during "Human Revolution".
He compared these similar events to the 9/11 bombing and the Pearl Harbor and people will make rash decisions based on that fact and that is what the theme of "Deus Ex: Mankind Divided" is all about.
"Deus Ex: Mankind Divided" will be released on 2016 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC.
