The biggest stories revolving around the upcoming Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale include the reveal of the final boss and the confirmation of downloadable content for the brawler.
The reason for the latter news being such a big deal is that Sony announced that the new DLC would include new characters and levels. This will likely lead to an eruption of fan mail asking for specific characters to be included, but more importantly, it increases interest level for the game exponentially.
Jak and Daxter were major mascots for Sony on the Playstation 2 when they debuted in 2001. Since then the duo has seen an additional three major titles and two spin-offs. Developer Naughty Dogs has stated an interest in developing more titles but is currently busy with the Uncharted franchise.
Square Attack
(Regular Square) Daxter Spin Kick: Jak spins 360 degrees with Daxter. Jak is able to move while spinning.
(Forward) Dashing Forward Punch: Jak dashes forward punching anyone in his path.
(Up) Uppercut: Jak does a leaping uppercut that launches opponents.
(Down) Super Dive Attack: Jak leads in the air and then dives head first into the group to create a damage zone. He rebounds and lands on his feet. If the square button is press during rebounding, he will do another dive.
Air Square Attacks
(Regular Square) Air Daxter Spin Kick: Jak spins 360 degrees with Daxter. Jak is able to move while spinning.
(Forward) Jet Board Dash: He jumps on his Jet Board and dashes forward quickly hitting everyone in his way.
(Up) Air Uppercut: Jak does a leaping uppercut that launches opponents.
(Down) Air Super Dive Attack: Jak leads in the air and then dives head first into the group to create a damage zone. He rebounds and lands on his feet. If the square button is press during rebounding, he will do another dive.
Triangle Attacks (Ground and Air)
(Regular) Arc Wielder: Shoots a steady stream of electric beam. While holding down the Triangle, players can aim the weapon up and down with the Left Analog Stick.
(Forward) Blaster: Long Range Beam Shot with consistent firing speed. Able to shoot 3 times in a row by mashing or holding the triangle button.
(Up) Peace Maker: Fires a plasma ball that explodes after a short distance. Explosion causes lighting explosion that shocks any opponent within range.
(Down) Beam Reflexor: Similar to blaster but the beam bounces off the wall and opponents.
Circle Attacks (Air and Ground)
(Regular) Gyro Buster: Shoots up a drone, which spins around and rains down thin bullets around its current location. Jak can destroy the drone by hitting it.
(Forward) Needle Lazer: Shoots out 3 thin homing lasers, which aims for the closest target.
(Up) Mass Inverter: Shoots a pulsing wave out from where Jak is, lifting opponents within range into the air.
(Down) Wave Concussor: Jak aims at the ground and fires a might blast causing a circular blast of energy that travels along the ground. Player can hold the circle button to increase the blast radius.
Supers
(Super Level 1) Precursor Legacy: A Blue Eco vent instantly shoots from the ground where Jak is standing. Opponents within in range will die.
(Super Level 2) Dark Jak's Dark Bomb: Jak turns into Dark Jak. He leaps into the air nad slams down to create a wave that KOs anyone in range.
(Super Level 3) Light Jak: Jak turns into Light Jak and gains the ability to fly. He has a special attack on each button. With the square he uses Light Blast, which shoots out an energy ball of Light. He can control the direction of the angle. With the triangle she uses Light Shield which surrounds him with a 3 second shield that kills anyone upon contact. With the Circle he uses Flash Freeze Time whch creates a zone that slows any opponents within range. With the X button he uses Light Boost which propels him forward, down, or up while flying.
