Good news for gamers as Valve may let one slip and they may have confirmed that "Half Life 3" is coming for the PC and consoles.
Gamers have been waiting for Valve or Gabe Newell to make an announcement regarding "Half Life 3" but while Newell is still keeping his silence on the issue, a Valve programmer may have slipped and confirmed that "Half Life 3" is coming and it is actually in the works.
According to Arash Fehkri of Master Herald, Valve Programmer Jeep Barnett may have stepped over Gabe Newell as he may confirmed that "Half Life 3" is in the works and it is being optimized for virtual reality.
As was noted on the report Barnett was allegedly quoted saying that Valve is using "Half Life" assets to test out their virtual reality technology as they are testing how the game would play out in virtual reality.
Barnett allegedly stated that virtual reality has become a tool for Valve to test out the different things they want to do as they develop "Half Life 3".
Fehkri notes that Valve testing out "Half Life" assests in virtual reality is the cause of the delay of the "Half Life 3" release date for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
In a previous report, "Half Life 3" was allegedly leaked by Valve when a poster and logo of the game was posted on their website. When fans got wind of this, Valve took down all of the "Half Life 3" related images on the site.
Meanwhile, if "Half Life 3" is really in development, then the production may have been damaged as one of the key employees in "Half Life" development has left the company.
According to Sarmad Lillah of Segment Next, art director, conceptual artist, illustrator, and animator for Valve, Ted Backman has reportedly left the software company. As noted on the report, Backman was the brains behind some of the most notable enemies in the franchise, Headcrabs, Zombies, Rebels and Combine faction, The Hydra, I.A. Latham, The Overwatch Elite, The Overwatch Soldier, The Rebel/Citizen, The Sacktick, The Shield Scanner, The Stalker, The Stampeder, The Strider, The Tripod Hopper, The Wasteland Scanner, The Synth, The new Zombies and many more.
Meanwhile, the report notes that Valve has not officially stated the "Half Life 3" release date but it has been rumored that the game could be announced and released next year.
