Samsung has officially unveiled the Galaxy S6 Edge Iron Man Limited Edition.
In a press release dated May 26, Tuesday, Samsung finally announced the arrival of its new product it made in collaboration with Marvel.
"We are excited to be able to offer our world-class Galaxy S6 edge smartphone designed especially for Iron Man fans through our continued collaboration with Marvel...The limited edition Iron Man Galaxy S6 edge embodies the power of the iconic Avenger with a dual-curved edge design and advanced features that will provide Marvel fans with the ultimate entertainment experience," Younghee Lee, Executive Vice President of Global Marketing, IT & Mobile Division at Samsung Electronics, was quoted in the press release saying.
The Galaxy S6 Edge Iron Man Edition's front and back is colored red while its metal frame is gold. As shown in the press release, the device will be pre-installed with an Iron Man theme and will come in a limited edition Iron Man box. The wireless charger also has a limited edition Iron Man arc reactor theme. The box also comes with an S6 Edge clear protective cover and a headset. The device has a 64 GB of storage.
It is set to hit Korean stores on May 27, 2015. It will be available in China and Hong Kong in June.
Now, for the specs. The recently released Galaxy S6 Edge, based on GSM Arena's spec sheet, has dimensions of 142.1 mm x 70.1 mm x 7 mm. It weighs 132 grams. It has a 5.1 inches display with a pixel resolution of 1440 x 2560. It also uses Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, Corning Gorilla Glass 4, and TouchWiz UI.
It is nano-SIM capable. It has fingerprint sensor and features the new Samsung Pay. It is installed with the new Android L Lollipop version 5.0.2. It is powered by an Exynos 7420 chipset. It has 3 GB of RAM and has no micro-SD card slot.
The Galaxy S6 Edge has a 16 megapixel main camera (2988 x 5312 pixels) with optical image stabilization, autofocus, and LED flash. It also has the following features: geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, Auto HDR, and panorama. Meanwhile, front camera is a 5 megapixel one.
It has the following sensors: Accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, barometer, heart rate, and SpO2. It has a non-removable Li-Ion 2600 mAh battery.
