Here are the latest rumors regarding the alleged Nexus 5 (2015)!
It looks like that we're waiting for not only one, but two 5-incher Nexus devices this year. Android Pit shared the news on Monday, detailing that one of the two might be a 5.7 inch device while the other a 5.2 inch.
Cited in the report as source was a Google Plus post from Artem Russakovskii which in turn mentioned a Gizmo China report.
According to the reports, LG is the one working on the 5.2 inch handset while Huawei is focusing on the 5.7 inch one. Android Pit noted that this actually is a milestone since it is the first time Google would be releasing two handsets in a year.
Gizmo China in its report said Chinese analyst Pan Jiutang has revealed some details about the upcoming Huawei Nexus device. Based on the details shared by Pan Jiutang, the Huawei Nexus device will have 5.7-inch OLED display with 2K screen resolution. Note that this was made by Samsung. For the processor, it is said that it would likely get the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset.
"This is a bit surprising given that we expected Huawei to incorporate its own SoC inside a new Nexus device. But given that the company's SoCs have yet to prove itself, Google probably insisted Huawei to use Qualcomm's best chipset," the Gizmo China report said. Pan Jiutang also aired the belief that Google still had the say over the new device.
Artem Russakovskii however cautioned readers, urging them to treat every rumor as a rumors, especially since nothing is final yet.
The rumors about the alleged Nexus 5 are still actually conflicting at the moment. Remember that an earlier report from Android Pit had said that the Nexus 5 (2015) device would come out before the year ends and would be hailed as the "fastest phone of the year" due to its 64-bit Snapdragon 820 processor.
Know Your Mobile and Yibada on the other hand reported that the new Nexus 5 set to be released this year might probably be made by LG, citing reports revealing that Google execs have been visiting LG in Korea. The two news outlets have also aired the possibility of the device getting the same specs that the LG G4 has. It also added that it would likely be a 5.5-inch with a 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution.
Android Origin on the other hand thinks it would be a Nexus 7 with Google again working with LG. Cited as its source was news site E Today
We still could not confirm which of these speculations are true.
