The upcoming "Star Wars: Battlefront" will not have space battles, Play Station Universe reported.
Patrick Bach, DICE general manager, was quoted in the report saying, "We want players to stay in the same environment - we don't want players to fly off and do something over here. It's about the Battlefront experience, so we want to keep you in-atmosphere and fighting with the infantry."
"Star Wars Battlefront" producer Sigurlína Ingvarsdóttir earlier talked about the game being so great on PS4. Attack of the Fanboy reported that Ingvarsdóttir said that "Star Wars Battlefront" looked amazing on the Ps4 since DICE is "more familiar" with it.
"DICE was able to get the maximum out of the hardware, and really able to sort of harness that power," Ingvarsdóttir was quoted in the report saying. Attack of the Fanboy also said that DICE had some collaboration with some Sony engineers.
A's Patrick Soderlund earlier claimed in a Eurogamer report that the new game came out from EA Digital Illusions CE's (DICE) own interpretation.
"This is DICE's interpretation of what Battlefront should be...That's the best description you can have. There are absolutely things in the previous Battlefront games that you'll recognize and remember, but DICE wants to put its own flavor on it. That's the only way we can do it. Hence it's called Star Wars: Battlefront, without a 3 at the end. We want to say it's something new...But again, it's going to be very Star Wars and very cool," Soderlund was quoted as saying.
The trailer of "Star Wars Battlefront" was unveiled last month during the Star Wars Celebration. It is set to ship on Xbox One, PS4, and PC in November.
EA's Blake Jorgensen said that they are shipping 9 to 10 million units.
""For us, we're thinking about it with two bookends...One bookend is the historical Battlefront, which did roughly 9 million units. The other bookend is our core first-person shooter franchise of Battlefield, which typically does around 15 million units...So I think in our guidance, we've roughly put in there roughly 9 million to 10 million units for the title, with we believe some upside obviously if things goes well. It is Gen-4-only and PC, and so that needs to get factored into people's thinking, but it is a very exciting title."
