Google is expected to show off a new 10-inch tablet at its October 29 event that should compete directly with the Apple's iPad. The tablet will be a Google-Samsung collaboration and looks like it will strengthen the Android lineup against Apple. A Korean website seems to have gotten the user manual for the Nexus 10 ahead of time, and has revealed its specs to us.
If the manual is accurate, then unlike most tablets, the Nexus 10 seems to designed in landscape mode, or horizontally. The logo on the back, and the front face's buttons and display seem to imply that Google wants people to use the Nexus 10 in landscape mode.
According to the manual, the Nexus 10 will have both cameras on the front and back, unlike the Nexus 7 tablet, which only has a 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera. The rear-facing camera on the Nexus 10 will have a flash, and the Nexus 10 will even have a micro HDMI port.

The details we know so far about the Nexus 10 make this tablet look incredibly enticing for anyone looking for a break from the iPad.
Apparently, the Nexus 10 will have a 10.1-inch screen with a display that will outshine even Apple's Retina. With a resolution of 2560X1600 the Nexus 10 would have 299 pixels per inch (ppi). Apple's Retina display on the newest iPad has 264 ppi.
The Nexus 10's rear-facing camera should be 5 megapixels, if the EXIF data from an image on Picasa is correct. The smaller Nexus 7's front-facing camera is 1.2 megapixels, so expect the Nexus 10's to be on par, if not better.
If the reports are true, Android 4.2 will be unveiled on October 29 as well, and a new Google tablet will surely be running it. Among the new features is multiple user accounts and a quick settings page for easy access to Wi-Fi, GPS, and more.
No word on pricing, although given the specs the Nexus 10 will probably be priced in the same range as the Apple iPad, around $499.
