This writer followed up on the lead and chatted up with a representative, and finally have some news for you from a Verizon representative: pre-orders will indeed begin October 25 at 12:01 a.m. EDT.
The representative also confirmed that the Galaxy Note 2 would arrive "within 1 month" and cost $299.99.

Verizon has been the last of the Galaxy Note 2 carriers to give any official details on the phablet's launch, and this is the first time that we at LatinosPost have heard any concrete details from Verizon themselves.
The release time frame of "within a month" is a little disappointing, seeing as how this means Verizon customers could be the last to receive the Galaxy Note 2.
T-Mobile has already started selling the Galaxy Note 2 in stores today for the increased price of $369.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate. Sprint is set to launch their Galaxy Note 2 in stores and online tomorrow, October 25.
AT&T will begin taking pre-orders tomorrow, October 25, just like Verizon, but have given a concrete release date of November 9.
Carrier U.S. Cellular began taking pre-orders a few weeks ago, but still only states that the handset should ship by the "end of October."
Sprint, AT&T, and U.S. Cellular all price the Galaxy Note 2 at $299.99.
Samsung is scheduled to hold a Galaxy Note 2 launch event tonight in New York City at 7 p.m. EDT. More details regarding various carriers and pricing should be revealed then.
Latinos Post reached out to Verizon for comments directly via press channels, but Verizon hadn't responded by publish time.
