Will LG finally unveil the rumored G4 device?
Fans will be able to meet the new LG G4 today, April 28, Android Pit declared citing the report of Evan Blass of Mashable. It was also revealed that the launch would happen simultaneously in several cities around the world.
Anyway, here are the specs and details about the new device, courtesy of Mashable.
The dimensions of the new device, according to Mashable's source, are at 5.9 x 3 x 0.4 inches. This is slightly larger than its predecessor, LG G3, which measures 5.8 x 2.9 x 0.35 inches. It would weigh 5.5 ounces. The device would be 5.5 inches with screen resolution 2,560 x 1,440 pixels. It has Quad HD.
As regards the processor, the new device is said to get the Snapdragon 808, hexa-core, 1.8 GHz. Mashable said that LG might stayed away from Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810 due to overheating issues aired earlier. Just for comparison, the LG G3 uses Qualcomm Snapdragon 801, quad-core, 2.5 GHz.
Just like the G3, the new G4 is said to get 3GB of RAM. LG G4's internal memory would be larger at 32/64 GB, compared to G3's 16/32 GB. Both have microSD slots.
Its camera would also be more powerful at 16 megapixel compared to G3's 13 megapixel shooter. The new device would also be perfect for selfie as it would get an 8 megapixel front camera. The G3 on the other hand has a 2.1 megapixel one. Plus it is also said to get a 3,000 mAh removable battery and Qi wireless charging.
"The LG G4 is set to arrive with some interesting new camera features, aside from its already impressive-looking camera hardware. In a recently released video, LG outlines several features of its new device's camera software, including 'Quick Shot', which takes a picture just by double tapping its rear "volume down" key. This feature works even when the phone is locked, meaning you will have to guess where the lens is facing and what is being captured, but it is faster than launching the camera app first," to quote the Android Pit report. Plus there is also another feature called "gesture interval shot."
In terms of connectivity, the device would be LTE-Advanced capable and would have Bluetooth 4.0. The device is also believed to get the Android L 5.1 Lollipop update.
As for the price, Android Pit said it would likely be at $700. Check out the LG G4 photo provided by Mashable here. Will we finally see the LG G4 today? What do you think of the new device? Would you buy it? Share us your thoughts through the comments section below.
