Android Lollipop is set to roll out on the LG G2 and Samsung Galaxy Note 4 .
The update will be labeled version ZVG and will provide Sprint LG G2 users all of the new features, such as new animations, improved navigation buttons and lockscreen notifications, among others, based on a report by Droid-Life. The overall OS will be updated, including the FM Radio software, which is said to improve the radio experience of users. 9to5Google said that the update will be available over-the-air (OTA).
LG G2 users can check if the update is already available by going to Settings then About Phone then Software update. Phandroid recommended that users should keep their Wi-Fi on and charged to ensure successful download and installation.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and T- Mobile are also set to receive the update. The update can be downloaded over-the-air or via the Samsung Kies desktop software. The update on Galaxy Note 3 will also be available in Russia, much to the dismay of owners of the newer Galaxy Note 4, while Galaxy Note Edge users in Australia and Europe are set to receive the Lollipop 5.0 first, KnowYourMobile noted.
Des Smith, product manager of T-Mobile, announced the latest update on Twitter.

T- Mobile began providing the update to Android 5.0.1 Lollipop for Samsung Galaxy Note 4, according to Android Authority. The firmware number for the latest update pack is N910TUVU1COD6 and has a file size of 1085.68 MB, which means that Wi-Fi connection and at least 50 percent of battery life is required to avoid interruptions. Free space of 3 GB is needed as well.
Some of the other changes that users can expect from Android Lollipop include Material Design improvements, the Smart Lock security feature and a few aesthetic changes. Tech Times wrote that Android 5.0 focuses on improving performance and battery life.
The Galaxy Note 4 received the OS update on all major carriers in the United States and Sprint, Verizon and AT&T were the first to have the updates available in their networks, Tech Times said, but while some users were satisfied with the changes, others complained about certain issues in terms of performance.
The update will most likely be made available in stages, so other devices may have the Lollipop ready in the following weeks. Samsung will also be featuring Lollipop in its newest flagship smartphones, namely the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, out of the box, Tech Times added.
