Master Herald reported that the leaks affected the game itself. "On the part of Bandai Namco however, the leak just had too much impact on its strategy for the game that it had to rethink its options...According to producer and series director Katsuhiro Harada, in his latest tweet, the leaks are such a nuisance to the 'Tekken 7' development team. He also disclosed that Bandai Namco is changing character development as well as the timing of the release of the video game," to quote the report.
Harada was earlier quoted by Crossmap as saying that there were at least 40 people working on the game production. When asked about the game, Harada kept mum. "It's very difficult to talk about; Obviously, I had originally planned to release it much earlier than we're currently looking at," Crossmap quoted him as saying. He however, declared that the new game installment will be their "big thing for the next while."
Harada also revealed that he would love to develop a new game which is not within the "Tekken" franchise. More specifically, such game would involve gathering popular gaming characters from the '80s, '90s, and 2000.
