Porto has looked like a top team thus far in the UCL and will look to continue atop Group A with a win over Dynamo Kiev.
Porto won its opener against Dinamo Zagreb 2-0 on the road. Lucho Gonzalez and Steven Defour were the scorers in that match. However, they topped that effort with a huge 1-0 win over Paris Saint-Germain, widely believed to be the other top contender in the group. They shut down Zlatan Ibrahimovic and managed a clutch 83rd minute goal from rising star James Rodriguez. Portugal's top team has gone undefeated in their domestic league with four wins in six matches and a +11 goal differential. The team has only allowed 4 goals in the six games, including zero at home. They have scored 10 goals at home as well, which could bode well for them on Wednesday. Jackson Martinez leads the team with five goals, while James Rodriguez has 3.
Kiev started off the UCL on the wrong foot as they succumbed to PSG 4-1 and looked overwhelmed. Only a late 87th minute goal from Miguel Veloso salvaged some pride for the club. They regrouped however and scored a 2-0 win over Dinamo Zagreb. Oleh Husyev provided the first goal while Kiev got a luck own goal courtesy of Zagreb's own Josip Pivaric. Kiev is currently in third place in the Ukrainian league with 24 points. They have scored 19 goals, but have conceded 12 in 12 games. After winning their first five matches however, they have only won three of six and lost the remainder. Ideye Brown leads the team with 8 goals on the season.
Prediction: Porto is home where they have been dominant. 2-0 win here for them.
