With less than a month to go before the Wii U's launch, many might have been asking where the commercials were. How would the mainstream public understand what the Wii U was without Nintendo's marketing. Nintendo has silenced those critics with its first British trailer to air on National TV.

The 60 second spot offers a few detailed steps as to what the Wii U is and how it affects gamers and other people in the environment.

The commentators asks "What is Wii U?" to which the commercial answers with a few steps.

Step Number 1 states that the gamers can "Do things you couldn't do before." Those include shooting at the TV using the gamepad. The video showcases an example of a gamer hold the gamepad at the TV and rolling their hands over the LCD screen to fire at the TV. Below it in small print it says "Wi-Fi enabled internet required to play online."

The Second Fact states "No more fighting over the TV." The narrator emphasizes that there will be no more fighting with others while you are playing a game. It is a known fact that some titles can be played directly off the gamepad as the TV gets used by others for differing purposes. On the bottom in fine print, the price and release date are listed for Britain, which differ from the US.

Fact Number 3 is "See what you couldn't see before." This segment does not go into much detail, but could relate to the fact that the gamepad can show you information such as maps that are not visible on the screen. The small fine print emphasizes the "Wiimotes are sold separately."

Number 4 says "Play in Real Time for Real." The example they use here is part of ZombiU where players will have to tap in a code for a locked door on the gamepad while the TV camera shows the incoming zombies. In other video games, this would likely stop the zombies from continuing their onslaught while the screen would be taken up by the players inputting the security code. With two screens, this is no longer an issue. The screen then shows "#5 Control Like Never Before" which includes using the gamepad as a sensor of sorts or scanner while it is held up to the TV.

The Wii U will be released on November 18 in two packages. For $299.99 gamers will get the 8 GB version while the Premium package for $349.99 includes the 32 GB version bundled with a copy of Nintendo Land, a Gampepad charger, stands for the console, and Nintendo Network Premium Membership. Both versions include a gamepad. The standard package comes in white while the Premier comes in black.
