Christian Post reported that there have been speculations that a new "Elder Scrolls" game installment would indeed come out March of next year.
Master Herald also added that the new game will reportedly be called "Elder Scrolls VI: Argonia."
"It was expected that Bethesda would unveil the next 'Elder Scrolls' at the Playstation Experience Event, but fans may have already gotten their announcement, at least unofficially. According to an alleged leak from Bethesda's offices, the game's release date is scheduled for March 2016, and the announcement at the Playstation Experience Event is still coming as planned...
"Seeing the game around this time would make sense in many ways - on one hand, it would coincide with the average release schedule of Bethesda, as the company takes several years to produce an 'Elder Scrolls' game. On the other, the game won't have that much competition if it comes out in March 2016, although plenty more games could be announced until then of course," to quote the Master Herald report.
This was seconded by Design & Trend stressing that the release is most likely to happen in the month of March citing Bethesda's typical release pattern for its more high profile games.
However, the 2016 release speculation is opposed by a recent report from The Gospel Herald revealing that there were whispers that a 2015 release is much more likely for the Bethesda game. It said there were speculations that it would happen after Bethesda's announcement at the Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles in mid-June.
Meanwhile, Venture Capital Post says it would come out this Christmas or in January next year. Bethesda on the other hand has not yet commented on the matter.
The first "Elder Scrolls" game was released in 1994. The latest one, called "Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim," meanwhile was released in 2012. On that same year, Bethesda featured "Elder Scrolls Online." At the moment, it is also being speculated that the upcoming game would also have a multiplayer mode allowing users to play with other players, similar to the those found in the "Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim."
As for the location, Movie Pilot earlier said that there were some rumors that the game would be set in Akavir which it described as "a violent continent located some 4,000 kilometres off the eastern coast of Tamriel."
"There have been a great deal of tales and legends surrounding these lands, and in fact the name is directly translated as "Dragon Land," Movie Pilot added.
"Elder Scrolls 6" is expected to be available on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
