More Android devices are now enjoying the much-awaited Lollipop update. Let's take a look at some of the latest recipients of the update.
Moto X (2014)
GSM Arena has reported that the 2014 Moto X device is set to receive the 5.1 version of the Android L update. According to Motorola's official website, the new software version XT1095, or Android 5.1 Lollipop, would improve stability and provide better control over notifications. GSM Arena said the new update would reduce noise in low-light shots. It would also result in "more responsive" viewfinder of front-facing camera. Another good feature is the device protection which locks lost or stolen devices even if the factory settings have been reset. It will only function when signed in with actual Google account. Check out the list of changes here.
Users who would receive a notification for the new update and who would want to upgrade their OS have some simple steps to follow. First, choose "Yes, I'm in." Your download will then start, after which, install it. After installation, the phone will restart automatically. You can also check for software updates manually by going to Settings then to "About phone" and then "System updates."
Nexus 10
In a separate report, GSM Arena said Nexus 10 users will also be getting the 5.1 Lollipop update. The file is 104.4 MB and has the LMY47D build. As usual, it will again be sent via OTA and will come in phases. The update reportedly brings performance tweaks and fixes several bugs for stability. Also, make sure that your tablet has at least 50% battery before proceeding with the download.
Note that we have earlier reported that all Nexus handsets would be getting the Lollipop update. Plus this was somewhat confirmed by a post from Artem Russakovskii which claimed that the roll out will start with the Nexus 7.
LG G2
GSM Arena also reported that it has been confirmed that the Lollipop update would be coming to the LG G2 device this second quarter. Here is the LG India's tweet confirming the roll out of the update on the device:
@i_Gujju Hi, the Lollipop update for #LGG2 is expected in Q2' 2015. Stay tuned!

Samsung Galaxy A Series
Sam Mobile has reported, citing some of its insiders, that the current Samsung Galaxy A series (composed of A3, A5, and A7 which all came out with the Android 4.4 KitKat pre-installed) might be able to get updated with the new Lollipop OS.
"Our insiders have revealed to us today that Samsung has started working on the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for the Galaxy A series. We have also been told that Samsung has not yet begun developing Android 5.1 for any compatible device. This isn't surprising at all given the fact that Google's latest stable version has been out for a couple of weeks now," to quote Sam Mobile's report.
