A very recent report from Anime News Network said that the upcoming "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" game will include Jubi also known as the giant villainous creature Ten-Tails.
The news outlet said this announcement is the highlight of the 16th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine for this year. It also revealed that Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura of Team 7 are expected to team-up and fight Ten-Tails. The giant creature is said to come out in the game's story mode. Gamers can then use the Team 7 ninja trio to fight Ten-Tails.
We have earlier reported that a bigger line-up is being eyed for the upcoming game, with several sources like Christian Today and Gaming Bolt saying that it would likely be composed of more than 87 characters. There were also rumors that characters from the "The Last: Naruto The Movie" are also expected to be in the said game.
The news about the game having the "largest number of fighters in the series history" also came from an earlier report from Anime News Network which cited the February issue of V Jump magazine. Some of the new playable characters in the game include Naruto, Hinata, Sakura, and Sasuke.
Anime News Network said the game developed by CyberConnect 2 and published by Bandai Namco Games will be available for PlayStation 4 consoles in Japan this year. "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4," the sixth of the series and a direct sequel to "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3," will also be available Xbox One and PC (via Steam).
Hiroshi Matsuyama, president of Cyberconnect2, earlier said in a Twitter post that fans could expect to see the new game this year. Here is Matsuyama's statement when translated into English:
"Today, it was officially announced! 'Ultimate Ninja Storm 4'! Appearing on the PS4! Not on the PS3. I have completely developed this as a next-generation title. You can experience the demo over the weekend at Jump Festa 2015, so by all means, please try it out! Can you wait for this amazing experience!?"
Potential buyers can also expect new gen platforms and a "whopping series of beautifully Anime-rendered fights," as promised by Bandai Namco Games.
Chris Gilbert, Bandai Namco Games America Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, meanwhile said that "The Ultimate Ninja Storm" series is still one of their most popular franchises. Over 12 million "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm" games have already been sold worldwide. Watch the game's official trailer here:
