LG is reportedly releasing a new powerful phablet this year. This new phablet rumored to be called LG G4 Note will allegedly take center stage this year. G for Games reported that this new LG phablet may be the firm's way of getting back to the phablet competition.
Since there were speculations that LG would also release a new flagship smartphone, GSM Arena said it is likely that the Korean firm would conduct separate release dates for the two devices. It said the G4 might come out in the first half of the year while the G4 Note in the second half. Note that this is quite similar to the release schedules of Samsung on its S flagship phone and Note devices.
Phone Arena meanwhile said it spotted a new LG device which might be the next LG G4 Note. The phablet seen was a 5.8 inches device with the codename LS770.
"In the papers, the LG LS770 is described as a phablet device with a 147-millimeter screen, which roughly equals 5.8 inches. The entire handset is 79.3 mm wide by 154.1 mm tall (about 3.12 by 6.07 inches), meaning that it is slightly larger than the LG G3. That's without the smart cover, we assume - yes, the LG LS770 will have a smart cover made for it, as it is hinted in the documents. Interestingly, a stylus of some kind is also being mentioned," Phone Arena reported.

Phone Arena also said the new phablet is said to have a 3000mAh battery with LTE bands 2, 4, 5, 12, 25, 26, and 41 supported. This information confirms that the LG LS770 is a Sprint device. However, it is still unclear whether this device is the alleged LG G4 Note.
We earlier reported that the new LG G4 would come out next month, citing a report of Korea Times. It cited LG mobile division chief Cho Juno who said that the new device would be "radically different" from its predecessor due to some changes particularly in its design.
"I believe our G4 will also be good. With higher expectations, LG put huge resources into the LG G4...We are aiming to become the world's third-largest smartphone manufacturer this year in terms of annual sales. LG Electronics will be aggressive in promoting the G4 in major target markets such as Korea and the United States," Juno was quoted in the report saying. The LG official also revealed that the Korean electronics giant is working on new processors to be used on its future mobile devices.
The new LG smartphone is expected to have a 5.7 inches HD display with a screen resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels. It is said to get a 16-megapixel main camera and a 5.1-megapixel selfie shooter. It is also said to get an upgraded RAM of 4GB.
