The lack of info about the upcoming "The Elder Scrolls 6" have only made the wait feel a tad bit longer for fans of the game.

As such, gamers thrive on speculations and rumors about the details surrounding the release and nature of the "Skyrim" sequel, 5 of which are as follows.

Release Date

Venture Capital Post said that "The Elder Scrolls 6" may be released ahead of "Fallout 4," judging by the teaser unveiled by Bethesda Softworks at CES 2015. Further, it's been said that the game may likely be released early next year.

"According to recent reports, Elder Scrolls 6 release date for Xbox One and PS4 versions will be happening this Christmas or January next year. However, such rumors and speculations have to be taken with a grain of salt pending future announcement from Bethesda that will likely occur during E3 2015 this year," the site said.

New Game Engine

What Culture said that it's possible that Bethesda will be making another game engine "from the ground up that'll best optimise the experience on new consoles and PC alike." This stems from the speculation that the company had relied on Gamebryo/Creation for nearly a decade already, and that this may call for a change to enable a slicker, better gaming experience. After all, Bethesda has "thoroughly stretched the limits of what's capable with this (now very old) game engine."

Title

Will the new iteration be named "Argonia"? Rumors about this name option are rife on cyberspace. However, as Franchise Herald noted, no confirmation has been made regarding the title.

Meanwhile, What Culture has named "Elsweyr", aside from "Argonia," as one of the options, saying that this is one of the names that fans have distilled from a list of possible title names.

"Right now anything's up for grabs as the official name for TES VI, the previous two mentioned have been chosen due to their affiliation with certain races that dwell within," the site said.

New Races

There's a possibility that some races may be playable in the upcoming game.

"With Skyrim having a small amount of races left unplayable that are alluded to having a hierarchy and some semblance of order (such as the Falmer), or those that are hugely influential (like the Aldmer or mysterious Maormer), there's huge scope to take control and see the world unfold from behind their eyes," What Culture noted.

Next-Gen Gaming

Bethesda is one of those developers who can "sell that feeling of expansive scope and jaw-dropping visuals right off the bat," as What Culture observed. As such, the company may be considering launching TES 6 on the latest gaming devices in order to showcase gaming innovations (if any) included in the new version and enable a better gaming experience.
