More rumors about the next HTC flagship device have circulated online. The latest of which says it would probably get a stronger Wi-Fi performance and a 20-megapixel camera.
These speculations came from a Twitter user LlabTooFeR. On Monday, February 9, LlabTooFeR tweeted, "HTC Hima will use BCM4356 wireless module. It supports 2x2 802.11a/b/g/n/ac and Bluetooth 4.1. Same wireless module is used on Nexus 6 device." BGR explained that the said BCM4356 module supporting the 802.11ac standard means that the device could give its users a faster Wi-Fi performance.
This was followed by another tweet detailing about the new phone's camera. "On HTC Hima we might see 20MP Toshiba T4KA7 as the main camera module," LlabTooFeR posted.
Based on the data provided, the Toshiba T4KA7 20-megapixel CMOS Image Sensor is built especially for high-end smartphones. It could deliver up to 22 frames per second at a full resolution capture. It also has the advanced digital zoom capability and auto defect pixel correction.
The 20-megapixel rear camera is also backed by Android Origin which reported earlier that HTC is ditching its ultrapixel camera in its upcoming flagship device. It noted that this ultrapixel camera has quite disappointed many HTC fans due to its low megapixel maximum resolution.
'Most Beautiful Smartphone'?
Meanwhile, BGR in a separate report dubbed the upcoming HTC One M9 as the "most beautiful smartphone ever made" based on the concept images it spotted at Phone Designer's Twitter page. Check out the two images it provided here and here.
The BGR report also revealed that it expects the new HTC One M9 to show up this March 1. It said that it is likely that HTC would unveil its HTC One M9 in its own press conference in Barcelona, Spain.
Specs and Features
Aside from those discussed above, the new HTC One M9 is expected to get the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset. It is also said to get a 3GB of RAM, alongside a 32GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot. It would also have an LTE Cat.9 network support, Bluetooth 4.1 version, and a better battery. Android Origin also reported that the device is said to get the newest Android 5.0 Lollipop update as OS as well as its very own Sense 7.0 as user interface. The new device is also expected to boast of its improved BoomSound stereo speakers and thinner bezels. A gold-colored HTC One M9 is also being eyed. HTC has not yet confirmed or commented on these rumors.
