International customers are already enjoying their Samsung Galaxy Note 2s, but for those of us in the United States, we'll have to wait a little longer. How long exactly? Well, if you're a T-Mobile customer, until October 24.
T-Mobile-centric site TMONews got their hands on an internal T-Mobile document titled, "Product Launches," which lists the Galaxy Note 2 as coming out on "10/24." This is the same day that Samsung is holding a Galaxy Note 2 launch event in New York City.
The document also reveals that the Galaxy Note 2 will be made available in the colors Titanium Gray and White. It will be the first quad-core powered Samsung device in T-Mobile's lineup, and be the first with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. The T-Mobile version will also come preloaded with the game "Need for Speed: Most Wanted."
There is no pricing information available for T-Mobile.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 will also launch on four other carriers: AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, and U.S. Cellular. A look back at the Galaxy S3 launch tells us that there might be staggered release dates across carriers, with U.S. Cellular and T-Mobile being the most aggressive since they do not offer the iPhone 5. Carrier U.S. Cellular has already started taking online-only pre-orders, with the pricing set at $299.99.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 will feature a massive 5.55-inch HD Super AMOLED screen, a powerful 1.6GHz quad-core processor, and 4G LTE. It will also come with an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera, and a 1.9-megapixel front-facing camera. Its most distinct feature, however, might just be the S Pen stylus, which Samsung hopes will help turn the Galaxy Note 2 into a digital notepad.
