The new Samsung flagship device Galaxy S6 is reportedly scheduled for unveiling this March. According to Sam Mobile, there are already some invitations for the March 1 event.
Based on the teaser photo provided by Sam Mobile, the event is going to be held in Barcelona. This could mean that the device would be launched during the Mobile World Congress. Also, the teaser has the words "What's Next" and a shiny metallic curved line on it. Sam Mobile says this probably hints a curved phone.
Earlier rumors suggest that the new flagship device would come with a curve variant, just like the Note 4. However, Sam Mobile says there is also a possibility that the curved version would not be a variant but rather the new flagship smartphone itself.
Sam Mobile said in a separate report, citing and unnamed "Samsung insider," that the new device would be available in four colors: dark blue, blue-green, gold, and white.
Aside from this, Sam Mobile also reported that there has been a price list circulation around Europe right now. It revealed that a 32GB version of the device is rumored to cost 749 euros. A 64 GB version will cost 849 euros while the 128GB version will have a 949 euro price tag. As for the Galaxy S Edge, it will allegedly be priced at 949 euros for 64GB version, and 1049 euros for the 128 GB one.
Android Origin earlier speculated that the release date of the new Samsung flagship device would be earlier than expected. It noted that since it is reportedly ditching Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810 chips due to some overheating issues and would just release the new device using its own chips, it is possible that it would be available in the market earlier. This also follows Samsung's launch history. The Samsung Galaxy S4 was out in the market a month after its launch date while the S5 was released more than a month after its unveiling. The Android Origin report says the new Samsung flagship would probably come out in the market about two to three weeks after the official announcement in the MWC.
Aside from the Exynos processors, the device is believed to get a Quad HD (2560x1440) display, the new Android 5.0 Lollipop update, a 3GB RAM, 32/64/128GB storage, 16/20 megapixel main camera and 5 megapixel front camera. The rumors about Samsung's new flagship device came after it has been reported that the firm is embarking on a new project called "Project Zero." The name which is a first in the company indicates that it is creating the new device from "scratch" and on "an entirely new vision." Samsung has not yet confirmed these rumors.
