The next Microsoft Surface Pro laplet version will be perfect for gamers. Christian Today wrote that there is a high chance that the new device would gain gamers' attention due to its "high-end internal specs." It said that it is expected that Microsoft would maximize the potentials of the new device by integrating to it the Xbox streaming feature of Windows 10.
Last month, Microsoft brought some good news to its gamers by launching the Xbox on Windows 10. "Over the last 13 years, Xbox has been focused on creating and expanding great gaming and entertainment experiences on console. We're incredibly proud of the Xbox One and are fully committed to ensuring it's the best place to play console games in 2015 and beyond...Now, we are also bringing that same focus, passion, and commitment to gaming on Windows 10, enhancing the PC games and gaming devices you already love, including the Xbox One. We've listened and learned from our past efforts in PC gaming and I am excited about what the future holds," Phil Spencer, Head of Xbox, said in a statement.
By integrating the Xbox on Windows 10, users can now stream and play Xbox One games through their Windows 10 laptop, desktop, or even tablet anywhere anytime. With Microsoft's official announcement on the new Xbox on Windows 10, it is no doubt that the next Microsoft Surface Pro laplet would indeed get this new feature. Check out Xbox on Windows 10 here:
The Motley Fool earlier reported that the new Microsoft laplet may be released this February or the following month. It also predicted that the device would probably be "short-lived" since it would be nothing but just an enhanced version of its predecessor. It speculated that very little changes and improvement would be seen in the new device. It can also be noted that this may be a reason for the company to slash and drop the device's price.
The report says that the new device will get new Broadwell chips. Note that previous Surface Pro 2 and 3 have Haswell processors on them. Of course, these new chips will indeed improve the device's performance. But it is good to note that another Microsoft laplet may come out shortly after the Surface Pro 4.
Another improvement being eyed on the new device is that it would be LTE-capable. It noted that it is very likely that the new Surface Pro 4 would be released with the LTE-capability, considering Intel's prediction that 15 percent of PCs will soon support cellular data connections by 2018. Note that Microsoft has not yet released a "high-end" Surface Pro tablet that is LTE-capable. However, if the new device indeed includes this feature, then a cost increase for Microsoft and price increase for the device would be very likely.
Christian Today also reported that it is likely that the new device would be available in two sizes -- a 13-inch or 14-inch one and an 8-inch one. The report also noted that an upgrade in the device's RAM can be expected. Note that the current Surface Pro 3 has an 8 GB RAM. Microsoft has yet to confirm these rumors.
