As many are aware, iOS 6's Apple Maps has received criticism, one being the lack of Street View.
Apple device owners with mobile operating systems (OS) prior to the new iOS 6 had Google Maps instead of Apple Maps, and one of the features on Google Maps was Street View.
The lack of a Street View-type feature on Apple Maps was one of the growing criticisms for the iOS 6.
Apple CEO Tim Cook issued an apology last week on the problems Apple Maps has faced, and even recommended other navigation apps such as Bing, Nokia Maps, MapQuest, and Wave, to name a few.

However, Google's Street View has returned and is available on iOS 6 devices.
The catch is it is only available through the Safari browser version of Google Maps.
To view Street View on iOS 6 visit maps.google.com on Safari and, courtesy of PC Magazine, "search for your desired address within Google Maps on the browser. A bar on the bottom of the screen with information about the locale should appear. Tap the person icon on the far right of that bar and a new tab with Street View imagery should appear."
A standalone Google Map app for the iOS 6 isn't available; however, The New York Times reported that it is in development.
Complex.com did offer a method to have Google Maps on the iOS 6.
According to Complex's Reggie Ugwu, using the Safarai browser, visit maps.google.com, and click on the export button in order to save the app to the device's homescreen. When the installation is done, the Google Maps app icon should appear on the homescreen.
Complex does note that using Google Maps under this option won't guarantee the same result as if using iOS 5.
