Daedalic Entertainment's fantasy adventure game "Silence: The Whispered World 2" has already been announced for the Xbox One, PC and Mac, now it has also been confirmed for the PlayStation 4, IGN reported.
"The Whispered World" is a traditional point and click game designed by Marco Hullen and published by Deep Silver. Its sequel "Silence: The Whispered World 2" was first announced early last year, but was delayed from its late 2014 release. Having already been confirmed for a launch to the Xbox One back in October and the Mac and PC during last year's E3, Daedalic confirmed that it's also being added to another console.
The announcement of the PS4 release came from lead designer Hullen and game director Uli Wanitschke as posted on PlayStation Europe's official website.
Not only that, but the duo and Daedalic also shared a new trailer for the game following a previous trailer released last month.
They also shared their insights of the game as well as new concept art.
"At Daedalic, we have an incredible art department, drawing beautiful backgrounds, locations, etc." Hullen and Wanitschke wrote. "We used to show these in 2D games. For Silence, however, we now use 3D technology by following a method we call 'camera projection'. We place 3D objects and 3D characters in 3D environments, but then project 2D art on everything."
The team also shared the hardwork that they have done on the puzzle design for the game, making sure that they were logical, comprehensible and helped the gamers progress in the game while being "part of the story experience."
There were also changes to the game's cursor and will change its shape depending on the area. They added, "For PlayStation 4, we'll offer a mix of direct control options as well as direct hotspot interactions and selections."
"Silence: The Whispered World 2" tells the story of Noah, the young boy who woke up from his coma at the end of the original game. He is now 16 years old and was separated from his six-year-old sister Renie, during the bombing of their hometown. He sets off on an adventure to the dream world in search of her, according to Euro Gamer.
Hullen and Wanitschke revealed that the siblings, which have different abilities, are playable characters in the game. They also come with a sidekick named Spot who is able to change his shape into what the player needs. Renie has trouble telling left from right given her age, but is also much more curious and fearless than her older brother.
"Silence: The Whispered World 2" has already been announced for an early 2015 release to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and Mac.
