A flurry of smartphones has been hitting the markets recently, and while Apple and Samsung have dominated the spotlight, Taiwanese phone maker HTC has made a splash with its recent unveiling of the HTC One X+. The upgraded version of the HTC One X looks poised to be one of the most powerful handsets to be available, and pre-orders have already started in the United Kingdom.
If the HTC One X+ has you interested, you can pre-order one through Clove Technology for £474, or $764. This will cover the VAT fee, and give you a SIM-free, unlocked 64GB HTC One X+. The first stock of the phone is listed as coming in on October 22.
You can also find the HTC One X+ for pre-order through Expansys, although for the higher price of £490, or $790.
The HTC One X+ is also slated to hit American shores through carrier AT&T, which will only be offering the 64GB model.
The HTC One X+ is a seriously beefed up version of the well-liked and popular HTC One X. This time around the One X+ will feature a quad-core processor clocked at 1.7GHz and the Tegra 3 chipset that will make the phone perform up to 67 percent better, according to HTC.
The One X+ will also come with 4G LTE and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean out of the box. Jelly Bean offers a smoother interface as well as Google's own voice assistant, Google Now.
HTC's One X+ will also be slimmer, weigh less, and offer more storage (64GB) despite having the same 4.7-inch screen size as its predecessor.
The rear-facing camera will remain at 8 megapixels, but the One X+ now sports a 1.6-megapixel front-facing camera, up from the 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera of the One X.
The phone will also feature Beats audio.
If you're looking for a solid alternative to a Samsung or Apple smartphone, the HTC One X+ may just be right up your alley.
