Ubisoft is set to release "Watch Dogs 2" and after the stellar reception of its predecessor, the developers are now determined to take more risks and improve the game, Game Rant reported.

"Watch Dogs" is an action, adventure game that was originally introduced at E3 in 2012, promising an interactive open world game with impressive graphics, effects and more. It initially suffered numerous delays and when it finally came out in May last year, some claimed that while the game was a fun experience, there were definitely some areas where it was lacking.

Not that the game in itself was not considered a success, especially with eight million sales and glowing reviews and recommendations. However, even creative director Jonathan Morrin admitted that the game itself was flawed and that there was more to be done, according to Games TM.

"I don't think 'Watch Dogs' is perfect in any way and there's a lot of room for improvement. But you don't always see this when you ship a game," he said. He added though that afterward, "certain elements become clear."

"Watch Dogs 2" hasn't actually been officially announced by Ubisoft yet, according to IGN, but Morrin is optimistic and determined to work hard on its possible sequel.

"The challenge when we made the first game was to create something that would make people dream about something else," he said. "With a sequel, there is more pressure to push a brand forward and we now have to appeal to fans in a new way."

To achieve this goal, Morrin said he and the other developers "have to continue on taking risks." He added, "I will not do this job if there is no risk in it. That would just be boring."

Morrin did have some thoughts on how the sequel will go, especially with allowing players to create their own stories, according to Game Spot. He said, "we want to allow them to play with a very different state of mind, not wrap up concepts for them."

He also talked about possibly expanding the Profiler, which in the original game allows the protagonist Aiden Pearce to see the personal information of anyone, anytime. There's also the possibility of introducing new features that were dropped from the first game, such as having fewer narrative restrictions and allowing more player choices, according to Game Rant.

As a whole though, Morrin stated that he and the developers continue to visit forums, read reviews and even talk to fans, saying, "The pressure is almost like a privilege."

At this point in time, Ubisoft has yet to release official news on "Watch Dogs 2." Thanks to Morrin though, at least now there's hope that a sequel is going to be developed soon, and that's something for fans and gamers to celebrate.
