"SimCity BuildIt" was based on the open-ended game which first released 25 years ago based on a report by App Advice. The new game is referred to as the most realistic city-builder on mobile devices. The new version boasts of excellent real-time 3-D graphics, several gameplay features and strategies that players of the original version will defnitely rave about. Some of the tasks involve creating commercial and residential areas, offering services and specializations, and developing the city as a whole.

MacRumors.com reported that the new mobile game presents different buildings which were also found in the PC versions of "SimCity" in full detail. Players also have touch-optimized controls so they can rotate, pinch and zoom. The game will run both online and offline.
Similar to the PC version, gamers will face different challenges to ensure that their citizens are happy. Players will come across challenges such as solving traffic and solution problems.
Additionally, players can acquire new resources and buildings as well as unlock content such as special buildings and natural disasters. As the mayor, players can create landmarks, public services, and other essentials to grow their city.
Multiplayer mode is also available where players can trade resources with friends. There will be plenty of micro-transactions, based on an article by Phandroid.com. There will be city issues that will come up on a daily basis so gamers have to ensure that their commercial, industrial, and residential areas are all well-operated to guarantee a strong economy.
Before "SimCity BuildIt," there was "SimCity" for iOS and "SimCity Deluxe" for iPhone and iPad, released in August 2014. The "Sims FreePlay," a spinoff of "SimCity," which is a free-to-play iOS spinoff of "The Sims," was also made available.
