Brace yourselves for this powerful monster.
New rumors are saying that Sony will allegedly release a "monster" tablet aside from the new flagship smartphone Sony Xperia Z4 and phablet Sony Xperia Z4 Ultra.
According to the report of Techradar, the rumors about the new tablet started when Chinese site Padnews leaked an image bearing the alleged device with a list of its specs. View the image here.
So why is it called a monster?
It is obviously about its size. Techradar said that the tablet is rumored to be measuring 12.9 inches. It will be 8.6 thick. Aside from this, it is also packed with some monstrous and great features.
The report said it will have a 3840 x 2400 LED display. As for the processor, it is expected to get a 2.86GHz Snapdragon 810 chip.
The storage is also pretty monstrous as it is placed at 64GB of storage and 6GB of RAM. Also, be amazed with its HDMI 1.4 input jack which could allow 4K video recording at up to 30 frames per second. You can also enjoy watching HD movies at 60p/48p/30p/24p. It will also get the S-Force Front Surround Hi-res audio. It will also get a 12,100 mAh battery.
Techradar said the tablet is expected to be released during the Consumer Electronics Show in 2015.
Meanwhile, the alleged phablet Sony Xperia Z4 Ultra boasts of its thinness. It is only 8.51 mm, Christian Today said. A concept image from Christian Today also revealed the phablet with ultra-slim bezels at the top and bottom. The very slim bezels of the phone thus leave the phablet with a 5.95-inch screen display with a quad HD 2880 x 1440 pixel resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio.
Howeve, a separate International Business Times report says the new phablet will have a 6.44-inch display and 1,440 x 2,560 pixels resolution.
As for the camera, Christian Today said the device is likely to get a 20.7-megapixel Exmor RS camera. But International Business Times noted that the phablet will only get a 16 megapixel camera. The report also said the Z4 Ultra which will be equipped with its own stylus will get a Snapdragon 810 processor and 3 GB of RAM.
Meanwhile, a Relax News report said there is also a possibility that the Xperia Z4 will have a compact version. It said it will probably be larger than its predecessor Xperia Z3 Compact at 4.7 inches. The device is expected to get a 20.7 megapixel rear camera and a 5 megapixel front camera.
International Business Times added the device will likely get the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor. It added that it might have a 3 GB of RAM and be equipped with 32 GB built-in storage.
