A new concept image for the next generation of iPhones has circulated online.
Since it has been rumored that the Cupertino-based is currently preparing the new iPhone 6S and iPhone 7, designer Martin Hajek has embarked on a new project -- creating a concept image for the alleged device, and it was since then posted on his website.
To sum it up, Hajek's design features a smaller iPhone 7. However, it is wider than its predecessor, iPhone 6. As comparison, the newly-release iPhone 6 measures 4.7 inches.
According to Hajek, his concept images were "based on an idea from tech editor Steven Tweedie from Business insider I visualized what an iPhone 6 would look like with the display pushed to the edges."
"One concept looks at making the display wider - by doing so the overall physical dimensions of the iPhone become smaller than that of the iPhone 6," he added.
The concept image also revealed that changes were also made in the location of the speaker. It has been moved from the bottom to the top of the device.
Hajek was further quoted in a Mirror report saying that "real-life Apple products combined with a good dose of internet rumors, a dash of common sense and imagination sprinkled on top" were his inspirations for the concept images. The report added that the device will likely be out by mid-September.
Earlier, Deviantart designer Xerix93 also created a concept image for the new iPhone. Xerix93 designed the new iPhone with aluminum unibody with mono-crystalline diamond. Check out the full concept image here.
The image reveals that the device might measure 4.7 inches in size. It also suggests that it might get a 1920x1080 resolution with Retina HD display. The new device is also seen to get the new iOS 9, the concept image showed. It also added that the device may likely be available in several colors -- silver, space grey, black, and gold.
The first to report about the alleged new iPhones was Stabley Times. It reported that Apple is already preparing its two new iPhones set to be launched next year. Two new iPhones -- iPhone 6s and iPhone 7 -- are rumored to be released in spring and in September. It even speculated that the new iPhone 6S might be released together with the new Apple Watch.
It also reported that Apple is allegedly mulling to shift to a six month release timetable to compete with Samsung's more frequent release of phones.
Load the Game meanwhile said that there is also a possibility that Apple would release a more affordable iPhone version, which might be called iPhone 6C.
Apple has not yet confirmed any of these speculations.
