iPhone 7 Release Date, Specs & Price: Is iPhone 7 the Same as iPhone 6s? Will There be an iPhone 6c? [Rumors]

A news report has claimed that the alleged new iPhone 7 will be very similar the iPhone 6S.

Contrary to earlier rumors that the two devices are different, Load the Game is now claiming that the iPhone 7 and iPhone 6S are just one. In its report, the site has consistently called the new iPhone as "iPhone 7 or 6S."

To quote them, "The iPhone 7 or 6S, call it what you may, is definitely happening next year and rumors about the iPhone 7 release date and specs are already flying about everywhere. Even though Apple and Tim Cook haven't confirmed anything about the iPhone 7, rumors and speculations are already smoldering hot and talking about a September or October 2015 iPhone 7 release date. The iPhone 7 or 6S, we don't know what it will be called once it is released, will probably become one of the most anticipated smartphones of next year, much like the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus were this year."

Load the Game's claims are quite confusing as it suggested in the latter part of its report that the iPhone 6S will probably be unveiled "sometime in summer 2015" while the new iPhone 7 will be out in September 2015.

Stabley Times says that the new iPhone 6S will likely be released in spring while the iPhone 7 will be out in September. It also suggested that the release of the iPhone 6S will likely coincide with the release of its Apple Watch.

"Apple is hesitant about launching the iWatch in the spring of 2015 without a new iPhone to go along with it, as it could give hesitant consumers an excuse to wait on buying both until the fall. As such, Apple is looking at giving the iPhone 6S a release date in the spring with the Watch, and then launching the iPhone 7 in Sept 2015 accordingly," to quote Stabley Times' report.

Stabley Times' unidentified source also revealed that Apple is planning to shift to a six month release timetable to compete with Samsung's more frequent release of phones. The move, it noted, is also expected to boost the company's iPhone sales.

Although Apple has not yet confirmed any of these, many are now wondering what the iPhone 7 device would look like. Deviantart designer Xerix93 created a concept image for the device to give Apple fans a glimpse of what the new iPhone may look like. This image has not yet been confirmed by Apple. The image designed by Xerix93 shows an iPhone 7 with aluminum unibody with mono-crystalline diamond. The image also reveals that the device might measure 4.7 inches in size and that it might get a 1920x1080 resolution with Retina HD display. The new device is also seen to get the new iOS 9. It added that the device may likely be available in several colors -- silver, space grey, black, and gold.

Load the Game also highlighted the possibility that a more affordable iPhone version will be released, the iPhone 6c.

Apple has not confirmed any of these speculations.
