It has earlier been reported that many of Samsung's devices will get the new Android L 5.0 Lollipop. Since some smartphones have already gotten the new Lollipop update, many rumors about how it will look like on Samsung devices, which have not yet received the update, have continuously arisen.
The most recent of which is the rumor about how it will look like on the new Samsung Galaxy Note 4.
On Sunday, November 30, D. Dorresteijn, the founder of Sam Mobile, a site specifically dedicated to Samsung mobiles and users, revealed on Twitter a photo showing the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 running the new Android L 5.0 Lollipop. It was followed by another photo with the caption, "Question, answered. #N4."
PC World reported that with the new leaked photos, we can assume that "Samsung may be going for a softer touch on its phones with Lollipop."
It added that these photos did not show "much" but "this early look hints there may be just a little more Lollipop and less TouchWiz when this finally goes live."
Phone Arena noted that the leaked photos show the phablet with the revamped TouchWiz Nature UX 3.0. It said that it was revamped in line with the Material Design and Android 5.0 Lollipop guidelines.
"Without a doubt, we're dealing with an early firmware build which is not intended for the wide public, yet it serves one pretty important purpose - it reminds us that the phablet will be among the first devices bearing the Samsung logo to be officially treated to the most recent variation of Google's popular mobile platform," Phone Arena added.
Samsung, in a Twitter post last October, hinted that the Galaxy Note 4 will get the Lollipop update. Samsung posted a photo showing a Galaxy Note 4 that has a wallpaper of three swirled lollipops with the caption, "Anyway you look at it, the #GALAXYNote4 Quad HD Super AMOLED display is pretty sweet. #NoteTheDifference."
Other Samsung phones expected to get the Lollipop update include Samsung Galaxy S5, Samsung Galaxy S4, Samsung Galaxy Note 3, Samsung Galaxy Note Edge, Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo, Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini, Samsung Galaxy S5 Active, Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport, Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini, Samsung Galaxy S4 Active, Samsung Galaxy Alpha, Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime, Samsung Galaxy K Zoom, and Samsung Galaxy Ace Style, the Android Soul said.
Samsung tablets expected to get the update include Samsung Galaxy Tab S (both the 8.4 and 10.5 inches), Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro (8.4, 10.1, and 12.2), Samsung Galaxy Note Pro (8.8, 10.1, and 12.2), Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 (7.0, 8.0, and 10.1), and Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition, it added.
