Now that "Grand Theft Auto V" has been released on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, pressure is now on Rockstar to finally deliver on its promise of heists DLC for the multiplayer version "Grand Theft Auto V Online."
The Australian edition of the International Business Times has got wind of a report that the long-awaited heists DLC will come with Rockstar's 1.19 patch for "GTA V Online" which the company would be releasing soon.
Apparently, Rockstar will be releasing the 1.19 patch to fix bugs and issues on the multiplayer game and with it shall come content updates, which is most likely the anticipated heists DLC, added the report.
In a November 23 report of Product Reviews, the site mentioned that Rockstar reportedly confirmed that the long-promised heists content of the online mode of "GTA V" shall come with the game's next major update.
"Considering that the 'GTA V Online' 1.19 update is next, it will either be to fix problems and bugs, or this will be a major update with the confirmed heists DLC," cites the report.
As to how GTA fans and gamers greatly anticipate the heists DLC, there is even a website called Aretheheistthereyet that keeps track of the number of days from the time that Rockstar released the "GTA V Online" last year. As of this writing, the site indicates that it's been 423 days but Rockstar has yet to deliver on its promise. The big bold 'NOPE' also comes out as if to provide the answer to the question, so obvious in the website title.
Before the launch of the "GTA V" on the Xbox One and the PS 4, Rockstar said that it will announce the details of the online heists DLC very soon, reports the IB Times.
"We know you're all excited for more updates to come and we've got some really exciting stuff in the works to continue adding to, expanding and evolving the world of 'Grand Theft Auto Online,' including the highly-anticipated launch of the online heists," Rockstar said in one of its newswires.
So when the 65MB 1.18 update came just days before the "GTA V" launch on the next generation gaming consoles, gamers got concerned that it only contained bug fixes and no heists DLC, cites the Gospel Herald in a November 19 article.
The report also added that the heist DLC is expected to come along with the 1.19 patch to "GTA V Online," according to insiders.
"Since 'GTA V' updates typically happen on Tuesdays, the 1.19 patch is expected to introduce the heists DLC on either the 2nd, the 9th, or the 16th (of December), just in time for one final Holiday Season push to sell the game before the New Year," states the Gospel Herald.
