One of the first tablets that will get the new Android L 5.0 Lollipop update is the Nvidia Shield tablet. According to NDTV Gadgets, the device will start getting the Android update on Tuesday, November 18.

"NVIDIA engineers are bringing the new Android 5.0 Lollipop to SHIELD on Nov. 18. That'll make it one of the first tablets with Lollipop, and it will feature a new 'material design' interface and improved app performance," the company said in a statement posted on its blog site.

"Also included in the update: SHIELD tablet's preloaded Dabbler app. Besides a new interface inspired by Lollipop's material design language, our painting software will offer full support for layers, and users can now share live Dabbler sessions over Twitch," it added.

The Shield tablet also comes with the game "Half-Life 2: Episode One" and the new GRID on-demand gaming service, according to the statement. The tablet also has a 192-core Tegra K1 chip, it claimed. A video it posted on YouTube said the Shield tablet will also have the new Dabbler 2.0 art studio and SHIELD Hub.

The Android 5.0 Lollipop update on Nvidia Shield Tablet has a size of 705.27MB, Gadgetzarena said.

Meanwhile, the International Business Times reported that Samsung Galaxy S5, Samsung Galaxy S4, and Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is expected to get the Lollipop update in January next year.

It had the caption, "Anyway you look at it, the #GALAXYNote4 Quad HD Super AMOLED display is pretty sweet. #NoteTheDifference."
