First, there was the issue of Nexus devices being overtaken by Motorola's Moto X and Moto G for the bragging rights to who got the latest Android L 5.0 Lollipop first.
On November 13, when Google officially rolled out its latest mobile operating system, it was no longer a matter of who got it first but more of a question of which device is the Lollipop doing better in.
Apparently, the Lollipop is having problems with LG's Nexus 5, albeit minor.
The International Business Times has reported that owners of Nexus 5 are running into problems with the latest update to the Android mobile operating system.
Nexus 5 smartphones are having an issue with Android L 5.0 Lollipop in connecting to Wi-Fi networks while others have reportedly lost data while installing over-the air (OTA) update to the mobile operating system, the report said.
The Business Insider even detailed one complaint from a Nexus 5 user who said that he was not able to connect to a Wi-Fi network despite inputting and logging in with the correct password.
"It seems that most users experiencing this problem are using Lollipop on a Nexus 5 running the build LRX210. The Nexus 6 that runs on a different build (LRX211) does not have any issue connecting to Wi-Fi networks," states the report.
"It's possible that this problem is exclusive to a specific version of Lollipop on the Nexus 5 that may not be completely up to date," notes the Business Insider.
However the issue of non-connectivity to Wi-Fi networks is also affecting the Nexus 7 and Nexus 9 tablets, reports the IB Times.
The Wi-Fi connection bug is the second issue that Google has to deal with for its Android L 5.0 Lollipop. The first bug has something to do with excessive power consumption of the device when connected to a Wi-Fi network, thus draining the battery faster than usual. The company has already fixed the 'battery life' bug but has yet to come up with a patch or fix for the current Wi-Fi bug, details the report.
Some Nexus 5 owners are also complaining that they cannot complete the installation of the Android L 5.0 Lollipop update due to a "missing system.img" error prompt. Once the message appears, it automatically cancels the installation of the Android update on the Nexus 5 and other devices, points out IB Times.
For those encountering such installation problem, among other minor issues, Google is advising users of Nexus 5 and other Android devices to go to the Android Police website so that they can employ a do-it-yourself fix of the problem.
