Earlier, Latinos Post published a list of Samsung phones that will get the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop update. Now, it's time for HTC and LG users to know if their phones will get the much-awaited Android OS.
According to an updated report published by The Android Soul, at least two LG phones will get the Lollipop update before the year ends.
LG has reportedly confirmed that the LG G3 and LG G3 Stylus will get the Android update by December.
Here are the rest of the confirmed and speculated schedule of releases for LG and HTC phones, as listed by The Android Soul:
1. LG G3 users who have plans with carriers, T-Mobile and Sprint, will also probably get the update by December.
2. LG G3 users, who have plan bundles with AT&T and Verizon, will get the update in January 2015.
3. LG phones that will probably get the update are: LG G3 S, LG G3 Beat, LG G3 Vigor, LG G2, LG G Pro 2, LG G Pro, and LG G Flex.
4. LG G3 S, LG G3 Beat, LG G3 Vigor, LG G2 will get the Lollipop update by January or February while LG G Pro 2, LG G Pro, and LG G Flex will probably get the update by March or April.
5. Users of LG G2 mini, LG Lucid 3, LG F70, LG L70, and LG L90 may have to pray hard as it is still unsure if they will get the Lollipop update.
6. LG G Pad 10.1, LG G Pad 8.0, and LG G Pad 7.0. may get the update by May or June.
7. HTC flagship devices -- HTC One M7 and HTC One M8 -- will surely get the Lollipop update, The Android Soul said, citing a Twitter post.
8. The HTC One M8 and HTC One M7 will probably get the Lollipop update by January or February.
9. Other HTC phones that will get the new Android version are HTC One Max, HTC One E8, HTC One Mini, HTC One Mini 2, HTC Desire 820, HTC Desire 510, HTC Desire 516, HTC Desire 816, HTC Desire 610, HTC Desire 601, HTC Butterfly, and HTC Butterfly S.
10. It is still not sure if the HTC Droid DNA will get the update.
11. Users of HTC One Max, HTC One E8, HTC One Mini, and HTC One Mini 2 will probably get the update by March or April.
12. The Lollipop update will be available to users of HTC Desire 820, HTC Desire 510, HTC Desire 516, HTC Desire 816, HTC Desire 610, HTC Desire 601, HTC Butterfly, and HTC Butterfly S by May or June.
According to Bloomberg Businessweek, the Android 5.0 Lollipop is the "13th major version of Android." Other phones expected to get the Lollipop update are the Sony Xperia Z series and several Motorola devices, Latinospost earlier reported.
