The Samsung Galaxy S6 might arrive sooner than expected as rumors about the possibility of a new addition to the Galaxy S series surfaces, reported Hallels.
Samsung's method of launching new phones is pretty predictable now, as what Tech Radar points out. Whenever a new 'S' model appears, it will be immediately followed by an improved version of the Samsung Note.
In this case, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 has been released recently. So it's only a matter of time, according to the Tech Radar article, before the S6 will be out in the market -- which will probably be on April 2015.
According to the article from Hallels, the Galaxy S6 might possess the Super AMOLED display type like the previous 'S' phones, with the display screen ranging from 5.1 inches to 5.3 inches. The device might have at least 2K display resolution or higher.
"Samsung Galaxy S6 might also have curved edge display like the Galaxy Note Edge. The Galaxy S6 will probably contain the upcoming latest Android L with 64-bit configuration. But there is a doubt about the operating system since Samsung has Tizen on the other hand. The CPU department might offer Exynos based ships. The graphics emulator GPU might be powered with powerful Adreno 430," added the outlet.
Another feature rumored to be in the soon-to-be released Galaxy S6 is a 20MP rear camera with optical image stabilization and a 13 or 8MP front camera. There might also be UV light sensor, fast charging, a micro SD slot, and dust and waterproof feature.
Not only does Samsung focus on rolling out better and improved phones. It has also now developed Wi-Fi technology that can transfer data five times faster than the usual, reported The Telegraph. The new technology claims to have an impressive 60GHz Wi-Fi technology that Digital Trends says "will bridge the gap between theoretical and actual Wi-Fi speeds."
"It enables data transmission speeds of up to 4.6Gbps, or 575MB per second, a five-fold increase from the 866Mbps, or 108MB per second, maximum speed currently possible with consumer devices. A typical film download of around three gigabytes would take just three seconds over the new technology," The Telegraph added.
Digital Trends said Samsung also claims in their announcement that "it has solved the speed-killing issues that come with millimeter waves, which travel by line-of-sight and are stymied by walls and other obstacles, by making use of wide-coverage beam-forming antennae and micro beam-forming control technology, among other fancy-sounding things."
Digital Trends added that Samsung plans on integrating the new Wi-Fi technology to a range of their products, including audio visual and telecommunications equipment.
It is unclear whether the technology will be present in the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S6 but what do you think?
