The Electronic Entertainment Expo 2014 will begin this June 10, and the console giants are getting their new games ready for this year's event.
According to the website nowgamer.com, Capcom is planning to unveil a new game for this year's E3. These reports were revealed by a Japanese site Sankei and translated by NeoGAF users. It is hinted that it could be a new "Resident Evil" game, one of Capcom's biggest selling games. A rumor was also being passed around that Albert Wesker is to make an appearance in the game, which was later "confirmed" by a Capcom employee tweeting that the actor is going to the studio.
The new game is also rumored to be a PS4 exclusive, but the claim is yet to be confirmed. The only game Capcom has for the PS4 is a downloadable title, "Deep Down", which doesn't have a set release date yet, and is only going to be free-to-play.
As for Xbox One, their biggest selling game series, "Halo", will make a comeback for the 8th gen console. According to International Business Times, the Master Chief Collection will debut on Xbox One. The four previous installments of the series, particularly "Halo: Combat Evolved," "Halo 2," "Halo 3" and "Halo 4" will all be compiled into a Master Chief Collection for the console. "Halo 3: ODST" and "Halo: Reach" might not be included. Saber Interactive will be the developer, given its previous work on "Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary Edition" for the previous gen, as suggested by Engadget.com.
Nintendo, on the other hand, will be introducing new games. According to polygon.com, Nintendo will dedicate 90 minutes to new 3DS games, which it will be hosting for this year's E3. Both will be 90 minutes long. The first event is dedicated to the "Super Smash Bros.", which is headed to Nintendo's portable game console, the 3DS.
