She was first introduced as one of the biggest features in the iPhone 4S, but Siri isn't the only voice assistant in town anymore as Samsung introduced their S Voice (Smart Voice).

Samsung's voice assistant, S Voice, made its debut for the Galaxy S3 device and thus increased the bitter rivalry between the South Korean company and Apple.

Some critics have already stated their case in who's better, while some better both voice assistants need improvement.

The Verge's Vlad Savov believes both Siri and S Voice are not particularly good.

"Both demand that you enunciate studiously if you care to have your query recognized, and even then some hilarious misinterpretations can and do occur, reviewed Savov.

But when it comes to speed, Siri has "a distinct advantage," noting it is able to provide answers in a quicker time compared to S Voice. However, that's the only advantage the Apple-created voice assistant can do as he stated S Voice can perform a wider variety of searches.

Tech Radar's Gareth Beavis  noted the sense of humor lacked in S Voice compared to Siri. The fact, according to Beavis, that the Galaxy S3 would sometime freeze due to S Voice was a "problem."

"However what it can do is simple tasks, such as opening the calendar, making an appointment or start playing a specific song or playlist," reviewed Beavis. "You'll have no joy with videos and searching the web can be a bind, but for items like setting a timer or an alarm or activating driving mode, it's perfect."

He added the Samsung voice assistant is 80 percent as good as Siri.

ArsTechnica's Casey Johnston had a similar review as Savov, "With S Voice, unless you've had elocution lessons from a news anchor, it's not going to understand much of what you say."

"It's not a selling point," added Johnston, but said if Samsung continues S Voice with other products, that there is room for improvement.

Siri is still considered as the favorable voice assistant, and that was strengthened with the latest Apple operating system, iOS 6. This has been supported by Phones Review and CNET, noting the updated Siri is now compatible with cards such as Toyota, GM, Honda, and BMW, to name a few.
