The Galaxy Note 2 was not the only device to debut at Samsung's Mobile Uncovered 2012 at IFA in Berlin, Germany. The South Korean company showcased the Samsung Galaxy Camera.
Samsung Mobile Communications President J.K. Chin led the introduction of the 4.8-inch Super HD Clear LCD touchscreen camera. The camera will run on the Android Jelly Bean operating system and is available for 3G, 4G LTE, and WiFi connectivity.
Samsung Brand Europe Vice President Stephen Taylor also elaborated on the camera further and hyped the device's abilities. Taylor noted the camera's ability to record video and play in slow-motion.
"The Galaxy Camera opens a new visual communication era and shifts a paradigm in communication. With the growth of social networks and the prevalence of smartphones and tablets, people today communicate faster than words," stated Shin in a press release. "As we increasingly articulate our experiences through pictures and videos the Galaxy Camera has been created to lead the way in this new era of visual communication. Communication becomes more vivid and lively with high-quality images and instant sharing anywhere, anytime."
According to Samsung the Galaxy Camera will feature a 'Smart Pro Mode' which will make it "easy to recreate advanced photographic setups in just a few simple steps for stunning artistic results."
Users of the Galaxy Camera can choose from a series of preset scenario options which will automatically adjust the camera's settings in order to capture the perfect photo. Some settings include "Rich Tone" which reduces overexposures in bright surroundings and "Light Trace" which automatically controls shutter speed during night scenes full of light trails.
